Connecting Stripe, once, on the web
Paste a key on the web, once.
- Secret key
- A restricted key with read access to all core and billing resources is enough, and is safer than a full secret key.
- rk_live_…
Your Stripe credential is encrypted with its own key, bound to your account and the provider. Our server calls Stripe and hands your Mac a normalised number, so the Mac app never holds the credential. Remove the integration and the encrypted key is deleted with it.

Questions
- What Stripe numbers can Notch Metrics show?
- Notch Metrics reports 7 Stripe numbers: monthly recurring revenue, revenue, active subscribers, new subscribers, churned subscribers, refunds and recent payments. Each one is a widget you place in the MacBook notch, sized from a single square up to the full width.
- How do you connect Stripe to Notch Metrics?
- Sign in to notchmetrics.com, choose Stripe and paste your key. A restricted key with read access to all core and billing resources is enough, and is safer than a full secret key.
- Does the Notch Metrics Mac app hold my Stripe key?
- No. Our server calls Stripe and hands your Mac a normalised number. Your Stripe credential is encrypted with its own key, bound to your account and the provider, so a row copied anywhere else does not decrypt.
- What does Stripe in the notch cost?
- Every connector is included, with no per-integration charge. Notch Metrics is $9 a month or $49 a year, after a seven-day trial that needs no card. Stripe counts as one of the connectors on every plan.
